Latest reports on October launch for iPhone 5.

Unlike past years, the release date for the next-generation iPhone 5 is open to vast speculation. While Apple has always been tight-lipped when it came to their product updates,Analyst say that the new iPhone would always be unveiled in the summer, but speculation abound
Latest reports indicate October launch for iPhone 5. This means reports indicating a June release for iPhone 5 were nothing but speculations. By the way even October launch date too remains just a rumor. And no one can stop Apple from releasing iPhone 5 in June if it decides so. Otherwise October launch is a done deal given the fact that Apple cannot torpedo itself by not launching a new version this year. With Apple stocks touching a new high every other day it will be treading with extra caution. It is already the highest capped company in the world and there are indications (not speculations) that it will cross a one trillion dollar valuation by mid next year.
Meanwhile reports coming out of the secretive Cupertino based tech giants suggest that Apple has decided to change the size of iPhone 5 from 3.5 inch screen to 4 plus inch screen size. Reports suggest that Cupertino based tech giant has done this to beat off increasingly stiff competition from competitors like Samsung, HTC and Motorola besides off course emerging giants from China like Huawei. The company is launching one great smartphone after the other and it is just a matter of time before it makes a grand entry in the US in a big way. Qualcomm’s admission of a production shortfall in their 28-nanometer chips has led analysts and tech pundits to assume that the iPhone 5′s release date will be delayed because of it. Read how Qualcomm’s supply issues may have been caused by iPhone 5 production in the first place. Given the increasingly great specs of Android smartphones, Apple fans want the next generation iPhone not just early but also with very improved specifications. Apple fans are expecting much more for their next Apple phone. A bigger screen is a must for many diehard Apple fans. But besides bigger screen they want the Cupertino based tech giant to add a microHDMI port on its iPhone. Apple introduced full 1080p video output on iPhone 4S. However, users need to spend $39 to buy Apple’s Digital AV to send HD video to a TV monitor. If iPhones come with microHDMI out, one will only have to buy a $5 cable to connect the device with a TV. But Apple currently has a nice AirPlay Mirroring feature for streaming contents. But it should be far great if the device has HDMI out as well. Meanwhile a report in Digitimes says that Apple is installing in-cell touch panels in the forthcoming iPhone 5 that will make it lighter and thinner. A Digitimes report says, “An improvement in yield rates of the in-cell touch panels at Sharp and TMD has persuaded Apple to choose to cooperate with Japan-based panel makers.” Besides reducing the thickness of the phone it would no longer require an external module or film. In the meantime a recent Morgan Stanley report suggests that iPhone 5 would include a quad-mode chip from Qualcomm that would allow for 3G and LTE functionality across all “network flavors.” Though the report suggested that Apple will remain impervious to a broader decline in consumer demand throughout the technology industry through the release of its third-generation iPad in the first half of 2012 and the launch of a thinner iPhone later this year, analyst Katy Huberty wrote in a note to investors detailing takeaways from a recent trip to Asia. In terms of the features of the next iPhone 5, it will integrate 4G LTE wireless capabilities. This 4G LTE technology is being developed by carries like AT&T Inc. and Verizon Wireless. The technology will allow iPhone 5 users to use the device in much faster speeds even when doing tasks that are data heavy such as surfing the Internet, downloading files and watching videos.
